The Aji Charapita is a small wild chili pepper native to the Amazon jungle of Peru. Its round fruits, the size of a pea (about 0.5 to 1 cm in diameter), ripen from green to a bright yellow-orange. Despite its tiny size, it delivers a moderate to high, intense heat with a fruity, tangy flavor and very pronounced citrus notes, somewhat like the Habanero.
