The Bishop's Crown pepper is a variety originating from South America, easily recognizable by its unique three-lobed bell shape, reminiscent of a bishop's cap. It is also known as the bell pepper or bishop's cap. Its fruits ripen from green to bright red and offer a sweet, fruity, and slightly acidic flavor, typical of peppers in the Capsicum baccatum family. It is very productive and even ornamental. The plant can reach 80 cm and over a meter in height under optimal conditions and will consequently be covered in these whimsical and amusing-looking peppers.
In the kitchen, Bishop's Crown is well suited to baked dishes, drying or preparing sauces that blend perfectly; both savory sauces for fermentation and fruity ones, bringing a balanced warmth and a refreshing touch to dishes of almost any kind.
