The Charaquinho pepper is a cross between the Aji Charapita and the Brazilian Biquinho. We estimate its heat level at 40,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU), but its potency remains as unpredictable as its shape. This is the first generation (F1) of the pepper, meaning each seed can produce a different variety. We are currently working to stabilize it, but nothing is certain with the fluctuating genetics of a first-generation pepper. Highly productive, it is distinguished by its explosive upward growth angle, like the Aji Charapita, but it retains some of the Biquinho's shape and quickly turns a vibrant red when fully ripe. Its spiciness is striking, like the Aji Charapita, but with very fruity notes reminiscent of small fruits, such as raspberries or blueberries.
