The Clavo Peach pepper is a typical variety of Capsicum chinense with elongated fruits that offer a superb color gradient characterized by anthocyanin produced when sunlight hits the peppers. The mauve color is therefore a solar reaction. Starting as a purplish hue, it is accompanied by green that turns peach/orange when ripe.
