Hot Lemon Pepper This chili pepper variety is renowned for its bright lemon-yellow fruits and intensely fruity, citrusy flavor. It belongs to the Capsicum Chinense family, unlike the Lemon Drop variety, which belongs to the Capsicum Baccatum family. The two varieties are quite distinct. The plants are relatively compact, between 40-50 cm and well branched, making them a good candidate for growing in pots and even for overwintering in a controlled indoor environment. On the palate, it releases a strong heat typical of the Capsicum Chinense family, combined with a pronounced citrus aftertaste, giving it a beautiful balance between citrus and a fiery spice. It is wonderfully used in hot sauces to accompany seafood, for example.
